The pain of Labour's recession

The Office of National Statistics today revised GDP figures, erasing the so called 'double dip' at the start of 2012 and taking a whopping 1.3% extra off GDP estimates for the last year of the previous Labour Government.

Labour now have a record of presiding over a peak to trough fall during the economic downturn in 2008/09 which is now estimated to be a 7.2% fall in GDP. Ouch!
